How does the mole repellent work?
The solar powered SafeGuard mole repellent uses a small solar panel on top to provide power and a vibrating motor buried in the ground to deter pests. Many rodents don’t like vibration as it could indicate an incoming predator.
Our solar powered mole repellent uses that instinct to drive moles and other critters away from your yard in a safe, humane way. No chemicals, no pest control service and no danger to children or pets.
Our other mole repellents will work in a similar way.
Will this solar powered mole repellent still work at night?
Yes, it will! The solar powered mole repellent has a small battery that is charged by the solar panel so it will work at night, on overcast or rainy days. It can keep the mole repellent powered for up to 7 days between charges so you’re always protected!
What’s the effective range of the mole repellent?
A single SafeGuard mole repellent device can protect up to 8,500ft2 of ground. That should be enough for most yards!
If your property is larger, you can use these devices in pairs or in groups if you space them out enough. As long as the device has access to sunlight to charge, the rest is easy!
How are these mole repellents humane?
The SafeGuard mole repellent uses vibration to scare off moles and other small critters.
Traditional pest control likes to use traps and chemicals to trap or kill pests. That’s not something we agree with. We want to live in harmony with nature and not kill other animals if possible. That said, we also want to protect our way of life so using humane options is our answer.
How long will it take to work?
Much will depend on your mole problem but you should definitely begin seeing results within a couple of weeks. If you have lots of moles on your lawn, you may see results earlier but on average, our customers report positive results within two to three weeks.
Can humans or pets see or hear the mole repellent?
You will hear a slight buzzing when you first turn on your mole repellent but that should disappear once you bury it in the ground. Once fully staked, the repellent should become inaudible and undetectable.
Will my lawn sprinkler damage the mole repellent?
The SafeGuard mole repellent is IPX4 rated, meaning it’s totally weatherproof. Once staked fully into the ground, it shrugs off rain, sun, wind and sleet and can even survive storms!
